President and Legal Resource Director
After spending 19 years of my career managing the development and growth of HOA law firms, my focus has changed to using my talent to work closer with communities directly. I have loved helping managers reach their goals so they can provide the highest quality service to communities. A well-run community creates an environment for happy neighbors. Since having worked as a paralegal, I continue to maintain strong relationships with many HOA law firms in North Carolina who offer specialized opinions and guidance. Utilizing my association business and paralegal experience to promote the education, growth and stability of neighborhoods is important to me. I have participated in events held by Community Associations Institute and have made connections statewide with professionals in this field. I am grateful for my legal and business relationships in this industry which allow me to capture the quality, integrity and additional services I strive to provide to neighborhoods.
I have spent many years serving on my neighborhood board. I am a firm believer that having a good community does not happen by accident, it requires proper management and community involvement. This experience has given me the perspective needed to understand all sides of issues helping attorneys, boards and members find reasonable solutions. Separate from managed communities, I currently assist self-managed communities, and communities that may only have one independent administrator/manager. As the new owner of Key Community Management, my goal is to help all communities obtain the answers and resources necessary to meet their varied needs so they operate properly, and satisfy the members while protecting property values.
When not working with communities, I occupy most of my time finding new adventures with my husband of 28 years. Raising my two children is my greatest personal accomplishment and they make me proud on a daily basis. Although they are already in their mid-twenties and live in different states, thankfully they stay very close to Mom and Dad (thanks to technology including Facetime). We all love times together at the beach and the mountains as often as possible. Oil painting, movies, enjoying nature, and reading are also favorites of mine.
Met Cyndi, his wife, on a hiking trip.
Loves to camp in the mountains.
Enjoys playing golf.
My business career over the years has spanned many facets of business management including sales, marketing and customer service. My prior experience in these areas has proven very valuable to our company. Our employees draw upon this experience in providing exceptional customer service, emphasizing client retention and implementing our company goal of consistently meeting or exceeding our customer’s expectations.
I have also been in your position serving as a board member of several large communities in which I have lived. I understand the challenges board members experience and my expectation at that time was that the HOA management company should provide leadership in meeting the day-to-day operational goals of the communities I served, which is still my philosophy today.
Thank you for allowing Key Community Management to service your community!
Enjoys yoga and taekwondo. Loves ice cream and dark chocolate.
I am a native of Charlotte and have watched the Charlotte Metro area develop over the years and become plentiful with Homeowners Associations! I am a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, a member of the Community Associations Institute and have earned the certification as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). With a degree in communications and marketing from Appalachian State University, my prior experience is in the areas of marketing, public relations, public speaking and event planning. Since establishing Key Community Management in 2002, I have helped generate a strong portfolio of communities which we manage in Mecklenburg and Union Counties, as well as the surrounding areas. My goal is to make a positive impact in every community we serve, and help board members and other volunteers create a stronger sense of community for everyone. I have found I am able to utilize my marketing and administrative skills to maintain a profitable and successful company with high client retention.
Hypnotized on stage in public.
Has a great imagination, gets engrossed in watching birds and animals then humanizes them and creates stories in her mind.
It’s hard to believe, but I’ve worked since I was 14, and I’m still work driven. I’m a graduate of the University of Evansville. Because I have a background in personnel, sales, and owning a business, I am a very good listener and problem solver. I pay attention to details – a former boss once said “to a fault.” How can paying attention to details be a fault? I’ve worn many hats during my careers and have learned to become very service oriented. I believe the homeowners, residents, and board members I’ve represented in my 14 years at Key Community Management appreciate that. In my down time I unwind by traveling, gardening, ringing hand-bells, serving on a Hope Team for Charlotte Family Housing, and sharing the love of two golden retrievers with my husband Alan. Oh, and I love to cook!

My journey toward community management began as an investor/owner in a small property management company. Most of the residential properties in our portfolio were part of HOAs/COAs. I wanted to know more about the management side of HOAs/COAs and began the process of learning about community management through self and formal education. I obtained my NC Real Estate license and completed The Essentials of Community Management course. I’ve always enjoyed learning, and am sure I will continue to expand my knowledge in community management. I currently serve as an Executive Board Member where I reside and have held previous board and committee positions in other communities. I appreciate all aspects of community management as an owner, board member, and community manager. One a personal note, travel is my passion. We live in an amazing world, and I want to see as much as I can and experience as many cultures around the world as possible. The hardest part of travel is leaving my amazing dog Sid. Not to worry though, he is thoroughly spoiled by his grandmother. My husband of thirty plus years and I have one son who we are proud to say serves overseas in the military with his wife and stepson.

Hello! I was born in Charlotte and raised in Harrisburg North Carolina. I wish to travel the world and see as much as I can in my life! I love to sing, go camping, and hang out with friends. I strive to make others happy and will do anything I can to achieve that. I have an extensive background in customer service from my experience with management and working in healthcare. I started out as an assistant to Community Managers here at Key CMI and finding out that I loved the industry, studied and obtained my CMCA through CAI. I am learning so much about community management and people, I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.

I love to create mosaics and mixed media art, repurpose found objects, and enjoy interior design, gardening, cooking, bicycling and spending time outdoors. My interests include live music, PBS documentaries, bicycling, camping and spending time with my husband Mike of 18 years and our West Highland Terrier, Louie.
I am the newest member of our team and I bring over 34 years of customer service experience. I developed a solid foundation for exceptional customer service as a retail banking associate with 20 years of service at First Union/Wachovia Corporations. Following my banking career, I spent 15 years in small business specialty retail where I worked as an art gallery assistant, a gift boutique associate and manager, and the daily operations and events venue manager for a collaboration of local non-profit organizations.
I truly believe that every day is a gift in which we are to give thanks and be glad. I have a genuinely friendly nature and enjoy helping clients in meeting their needs. I am adept at finding solutions to problems and I also enjoy building relationships with clients so that they have the confidence and trust to know I will take care of them with honesty and integrity.
